The Day The Earth Shook - The Absolute Power Of Manowar
|2006-06-23||In section Pictures>Concerts are brand new photos from open air festival Masters of Rock 2005 - Vizovice!|
MANOWAR - the only band to have headlined the Gods Of Metal 3 times - is proud to announce they will make their 4th headlining appearance on the 2007 edition of the festival in Italy on Saturday, June 9th.
Along with MANOWAR will be special guests RHAPSODY and HOLYHELL bringing you the Demons, Dragons & Warriors World Tour for a day that you will never ever forget!
|2006-05-02||No Swiss show will be rescheduled. If you purchased a ticket for the March 27, 2006 show in Winterthur please return it to the original point of purchase for a refund. April 27th, 2006 is listed as a final refund date.|
Rescheduled tour dates, as well as additional new dates, have been announced regarding German performances by MANOWAR, with special guests RHAPSODY and HOLYHELL, on the “Demons, Dragons & Warriors World Tour 2006”. Due to an unfortunate accident involving MANOWAR guitarist Karl Logan, previously scheduled European dates of the tour had been postponed, much to the great disappointment of the bands and their label, Magic Circle Music. “Our first concern was to be sure that Karl was in good condition,” says Magic Circle Music founder and MANOWAR bassist Joey DeMaio. “As soon as we were certain Karl would be able to play again in the near future, we wanted to give our fans as much information as possible to keep them abreast of plans for the tour.”
Every effort was made to reschedule as quickly as possible. “It was very unfortunate for us to postpone the German dates,” says concert promoter Klaus Boenisch from KBK. “However, we are happy to have scheduled new dates and we are proud that we could even add an additional show in northern Germany; even moreso because of the incredible ticket sales. In true MANOWAR style, the band wishes to do something special to thank the fans for their undying support and kind understanding.”
DeMaio furthers Boenisch’s sentiments with great gusto: “We are very proud to be able to reschedule this tour. We will return bigger and better than ever. Nothing can stop MANOWAR!”
Additional European dates will be rescheduled and will be announced as soon as possible.
THE NEW “DEMONS, DRAGONS & WARRIORS” GERMAN DATES INCLUDE:
- 15/12/06 Dortmund Westfalenhalle
- 16/12/06 Hamburg Color Line Arena
- 18/12/06 Berlin Max-Schmeling Halle
- 20/12/06 Frankfurt Festhalle
- 21/12/06 Stuttgart Schleyerhalle
- 22/12/06 Nürnberg Arena
- 23/12/06 München Olympiahalle
The tickets for the Hamburg date will be available commencing March 10, 2006, all other tickets remain valid for the rescheduled dates.
Due to an unfortunate accident involving MANOWAR guitarist Karl Logan, all upcoming European dates of the "Demons, Dragons and Warriors World Tour" will be postponed until further notice. This postponement will include the performances of RHAPSODY and HOLYHELL.
Logan was injured on Tuesday, January 24th 2006 in a motorcycle accident. He sustained severe injuries to his left arm, which will prevent him from performing for an as-yet-unknown period of time.
More information, including an updated tour schedule, will be released as it becomes available.
Karl Logan, lead guitarist of heavy metal powerhouse MANOWAR, was injured on Tuesday, January 24th 2006 in a motorcycle accident. Logan sustained severe injuries to his left arm, which will prevent him from performing for an as-yet-unknown period of time. "MANOWAR will have to reconsider all of our plans, but the good news is that Karl is ok and he'll be back stronger than ever," says MANOWAR bassist Joey DeMaio.
Logan was preparing to record his lead guitar parts for the upcoming, yet to be named, MANOWAR album, the release of which will now be delayed. Touring plans are also expected to change as a result of this unfortunate turn of events. However, MANOWAR will soldier on. "We don't have any more information at this time," says DeMaio. "But nothing ever has, or ever will, stop MANOWAR." More information will be released as it becomes available.

MANOWAR have heard the call to arms! Bolstered and inspired by the incomparable support and devotion of their worldwide fan base, the “Kings Of Metal” are now ready to return to the fray with their brand new single "The Sons Of Odin" on February 27, 2006. This 10-minute epic, in classic true metal style, sets the perfect tone for the impending release of the yet-untitled full-length album scheduled for April 3, 2006.
"The Sons Of Odin" will feature MANOWAR’s patented, lion-hearted metal riffs mixed with arena-rock stomping grooves and orchestral arrangements. The single will also feature a remixed and re-recorded version of last summer’s first single "King Of Kings", another fast and furious outing originally released only as a bonus on the band's latest DVD "Hell On Earth IV".
